Healing Warriors

Noche de Recuerdos commemorates all the warriors in our life and the journeys they have been through to heal and continue the battle.With the constant challenges and opposition, we must preserveour energy, mind, and body to stay strong against all the torment. We can see it in the resiliency of our mothers, the fighting spirit of our fathers, the tenacity of our elders, and the rebellion of the youth. From ritual traditions to direct action, there is a call to maintain the wisdom of our ancestors and the spirit of our Mother Earth.

American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions co-sponors this exhibition to commemorate all the resiliant warriors that continue to fight. May they be abelas, youth, freedom fighters, social justice advocates or single parents, we dedicate this night to you and your briliance and power.
